Where did your mindset come from?
How would you describe your
mindset?

The majority of what has formed the foundation of your mindset was acquired before you were even 7 years old. The majority of our beliefs were passed down from the people who raised us. These beliefs form the foundation of how we view ourselves, how we see the world, and how we view others in our world.

Researchers have found that we are only born with two innate fears. The fear of falling, and the fear of loud noises. All other fears were acquired after we were born. Fear isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It has become seen as the “villain”. But fear has it’s benefits. It is meant to prevent us from becoming hurt, emotionally, physically or mentally. Our mind continually records every experience and uses it for future reference to avoid future pain.

The subconscious mind plays a fascinating role in shaping our behaviors and beliefs.

It’s responsible for the large majority of the patterns that run our lives each and every day. Once a behavior has been absorbed into the subconscious mind, we can perform that behavior with little to no conscious awareness.

Its said that we spend about 85-90% of our day with the subconscious mind leading the reactions, responses, behaviors and patterns. Think of the impact this has on our daily lives

The subconscious mind is also something that has received a label of being the “problem” but it actually is quite ingenious when you realize just how capable our mind and body are able to

much attention you place on a thought. How much energy and focus are you placing on that particular scenario?

If it’s a fleeting thought that passes through, there was very little if any attention placed on that experience.

Of course, being optimistic is always a wonderful quality to possess, and frankly can be very helpful when you actually believe it will work out, rather than just hoping it will work out.

But the truth is, positive thinking and wishful thinking are often mistaken for being the same thing (which could not be more wrong…there is a BIG difference).

When most people refer to positive thinking, they are implying that are trying to be positive about a bad situation.

However positive thinking isn’t about trying to convince yourself that something that is emotionally or physically painful is a good thing. If you aren’t making changes in your behaviors, your perspective or your emotions, how could anything possibly get better? (even if you really really need it to get better)

They can’t. If your vibration hasn’t changed, then you can’t experience anything different than what you’ve been experiencing.

OUR CONSCIOUS MIND

Our Conscious Mind has incredible capabilities. The subconscious mind is the daily operations manager. It can’t make new decisions on its own, and it cannot recreate new patterns, but it

can oversee the proper function of millions of daily biological, physiological and psychological tasks throughout the day. This frees up so much of our conscious mind’s time.

WHERE DOES OUR MINDSET COME FROM?

Our mindset regarding topics of how relationships should operate, our beliefs about money, our beliefs about family dynamics, our beliefs about health and so many other really important topics were shaped long before we ever even had any idea what these topics really were. That certainly doesn’t mean that we can’t or won’t change our mindset and our beliefs over time. But this can only happen through deliberate and conscious choice. Otherwise, the beliefs and patterns remain the exact same as they were when we observed them as a child. Many of the limiting beliefs that we use to view our experience were not actually beliefs that we consciously chose. They were handed down to us through observation and we took them on as our own.

BELIEFS & MINDSET

That certainly doesn’t mean that we can’t or won’t change our mindset and our beliefs over time. But this can only happen through deliberate and conscious choice.

OUR REALITY IS SELF-CONFIRMING

What does that mean really? It means that every single belief that we hold will be reflected in our physical environment to prove that our belief is correct. It continues to solidify and confirm that our beliefs are “right” and this makes them grow stronger. But what about when we come into contact with a result that we realize is happening because of a pattern or belief we are holding that we no longer want? Now what?

Become so highly selective about every thought, every focus, every single piece of content you subject yourself to. Why? Because how you feel is going to naturally draw more experiences to you that will magnify that vibration. Here’s the amazing thing about it though…. It doesn’t matter why you feel good, all that matters is that you do.
